Supporting Our Local Community
As a proud, family-run business based in Scotland, we believe that when local businesses support local people, everyone benefits. Supporting local ensures business and charities in areas such as Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes and the surrounding areas can thrive in their sector.
From grassroots sport to local landmarks, we are committed to giving back to the area that has supported us from day one.
Stevie Crawford Football Academy
We’re proud to be the Official Shirt Sponsor of the Stevie Crawford Football Academy — a fantastic local organisation dedicated to developing young footballing talent led by the Scotland internationalist and former Dunfermline Athletic Football Club and Raith Rovers Football Club player.
The academy provides children and young players with professional coaching, structure, discipline, and a positive environment to grow both on and off the pitch. By sponsoring the academy, we’re not just putting our name on a kit — we’re backing opportunity, ambition, and youth development in our area.
Grassroots football plays a vital role in building confidence, teamwork, and community spirit. Supporting the academy means helping create pathways for young players while strengthening the local sporting community.
Working with Stevie has been great. He shares the same ethos about community and business within the local area, its was only right that we support such a fantastic academy. We look forward to supporting Stevie, his coaches and all kids in the years to come.
Rosyth ‘Sharks’ Rugby Club
Our connection to Rosyth Rugby Club runs deeper than sponsorship alone.
In the early days of our business, we operated our vehicle hire directly from the rugby club grounds. The club and its community were part of our foundation — offering support, encouragement, and a place to grow during those important early stages.
That’s why it’s only right that we continue to give back to the people and community behind it. Supporting the rugby club is personal to us. It represents loyalty, shared values, and remembering where we started.
Rugby clubs are more than sports facilities — they’re community hubs that bring families, friends, and generations together.
Peacocks of Pittencrieff Park
Few symbols are as iconic to Dunfermline as the famous peacocks of Pittencrieff Park.
The park itself is a cherished landmark, enjoyed daily by families, walkers, and visitors. Supporting the upkeep and presence of the peacocks means helping preserve a unique part of Dunfermline’s identity and heritage.
For us, community support isn’t only about sport — it’s also about protecting the character and traditions that make our city special.
Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Youth Academy
We are incredibly proud to support the Dunfermline Athletic Football Club Youth Academy by supplying a dedicated bus to assist with player transport. Fully sign written showing the great work the academy and the Former Player Association and Friends Of The Academy do.
Providing transport might seem simple — but for a youth academy, it makes a huge difference. Reliable travel ensures young players can attend training sessions, matches, tournaments, and community events safely and on time. It removes logistical pressures from families and helps the academy operate smoothly and professionally.
We are very proud to have our logo side by side with such a massive part of the local community.
Why Supporting Local Matters
When local businesses support local clubs, charities, and landmarks, the entire area thrives.
It keeps investment within the community.
It strengthens relationships between businesses and residents.
It creates opportunities for young people.
It builds pride in where we live and work.
Strong local partnerships help local economies grow.
By working with and supporting businesses and organisations across Fife, we help create a network of trust and collaboration that benefits everyone.
At Gibbs Vehicle Hire and Sales, we are proud of where we come from —
and even prouder to support the people, clubs, and icons that make our community what it is.
Because when the community grows, we all grow together.
Just some of the fantastic businesses we support throughout the UK.
